Statement: the Martyrs of God – Qassim Suleimani and Abu Mahdi al Muhandis Ahlulbayt Islamic Mission | #انتقام_سيخت

In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Qāsim Suleymānī & Abū Mahdī al Muhandis

“Do not consider those who are slain for the cause of God to be dead. They are alive but you are unaware of them.” (Quran 2:154)

We begin in the name of God, Lord of the martyrs and the righteous. He who promised victory and He who promised that His Earth would be inherited by His righteous servants.

With the passing of one year since the martyrdom of the great heroes of Islam, Shaheed Qasem Soleimani and Shaheed Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandes, AIM will be joining the millions of justice-seeking people around the world in commemorating their honourable lives and legacy.

These are the men of God who confronted ISIS and defeated them.

These are the men of God who provided safety to the innocent, who saved women from rape and children from beheading.

These are the men of God who protected the shrines of the Ahlulbayt (as), the shrine of the master of martyrs, Imam Hussain (as), the shrine of the mother of calamities, Sayyida Zainab (as), the shrine of the Askariyyan (as), and the birthplace of the Imam of our time, Imam Al-Mahdi (atf).

These are the men of God who brought honour to the Ummah and dignity to the people of the region by subduing the terrorists.

There is no doubt that the American regime, which broke international laws and committed this heinous crime of assassinating these men of God, will do their best to silence the legitimate voices condemning their behaviour, calling for justice and remembering the legacy of these great men.

Let it be known that our remembrance for these martyrs who fought for the sovereignty and safety of our people is both legal and an inalienable right in spite of US draconian policies.

We do not pay attention to the callous propaganda against these martyrs and we remind those arrogant powers that they have in the past accused people such as Nelson Mandela with distorted labels of being a terrorist only to be proven wrong by history. These regimes are in no position to be accusing anyone when they themselves are the perpetrators of illegal extrajudicial killings and assassinations thousands of miles away from their borders.

In light of this, we will be partaking in a global campaign to mark the first anniversary since the martyrdom of Shaheed Qasem Soleimani and Shaheed Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandes, and to remember all those fallen heroes in the way of God. The campaign will run with the hashtag #WeRemember and will start on 3rd January 2021, at exactly 1.20am Baghdad time, and continue for a week until 9th January 2021.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind Muslims in the West, a community that is suffering from the highest levels of Islamophobia since records began, do not be intimidated and do not let fear win over love. Do not let oppression silence your desire to speak of a world of justice. Speak your truth because it is your identity, culture, and way of life which you must protect with your very existence.

It is reported that the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family was once asked; “What is the best jihad?” The Prophet replied, “To speak a word of truth in front of a tyrannical ruler.”

So today we say to the tyrannical rulers of our time, those that have subjugated our identity, and discriminated against our way of life, those who bombed and plundered the resources of nations, those who occupied far away lands, those who are the perpetrators of killing millions of innocent people for greed and power and those who have killed the beloved martyrs Shaheed Soleimani and Shaheed Abu Mahdi; we say: We oppose your crimes, we reject your policies, we will remember our heroes and we seek a world of justice and peace without your distorted narrative.

We ask the Almighty God to accept this little that we do in His way and pray for justice and peace for the suffering peoples of the world.

Wa Min Allah Al-Tawfiq,
